
He studied polymer science at Tohoku University, Japan, then moved to the UK in 2015 to study at the Royal College of Art (RCA) and Imperial College London. In 2017, he joined the DLX Design Lab at the University of Tokyo, leading projects that bridged design and advanced science. Returning to RCA, he developed the world’s first artificial gill garment technology. In 2018, he founded AMPHICO to apply this innovation to sustainable outdoor apparel. His company created Amphitex, a 100% recyclable, PFAS-free textile, and Amphicolor, a waterless dyeing technology addressing environmental issues.
