After graduating from the Graduate School of Energy Sciences at Kyoto University, he joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 2004. In 2015, he was seconded to the National Space Policy Secretariat, Cabinet Office, in charge of expanding private space business. In 2017, he returned to METI and founded J-Startup, a startup support program. In 2018, he joined Digital Hearts Holdings and founded Digital Hearts Plus Inc. In May 2022, he founded Innovative Space Carrier Inc.
