Born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1961, he began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 19 as a street vendor selling accessories. In 1985, he opened a video rental store. He founded [DMM.com] in 1999. Currently, as the Chairman of DMM Group, he oversees more than 60 businesses, including video streaming, anime production, online games, English conversation services, FX and stock trading, 3D printing, and the management of a soccer team in Belgium.
