Fumiaki Sato joined Tokyu Land Corporation in 2008. After overseeing leasing, acquisition and development of office buildings, he was transferred to the U.S. in 2016 and stationed in New York, where he was engaged in the development of large mixed-use buildings, called 425 Park Avenue in Manhattan as well as the acquisition and operation of apartments along the East Coast. Also, he conducted research and established relationships with startups in the US and contributed to the company’s first investment to an overseas venture capital fund. Sato was appointed to his current position in 2021, and his work focuses on investments in startups through CVC, supporting collaborations with startups and creating new businesses.
