Simon Lancaster is triple national Founder and General Partner of Omni Ventures, an inception to seed stage DeepTech venture fund based in Silicon Valley. At Omni he focuses on early stage investing into Manufacturing Tech, the modernization of engineering tools, manufacturing and supply chain. Before becoming an investor, he was an entrepreneur and early hire at Arris Composites, a Silicon Valley Deep Tech startup where he lead business development from Series A ($40M valuation) to Series C ($260M valuation). Before that, he spent 11 years at Apple as an R&D leader and technology scout for manufacturing, product design and advanced materials. He frequently speaks at Berkeley, Stanford, MIT, and ETH Zurich on topics of design thinking and deeptech entrepreneurship and has over 50 patents to his name in the fields of his expertise. He has an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology and Bachelors of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
