Soichi Tajima founded Genesia Ventures in 2016. Prior to Genesia, Soichi was at CyberAgent Ventures, the Corporate VC arm of CyberAgent, where he was appointed CEO in 2010. During his time as CEO, he developed the investment strategy, led the effort on expanding investment areas and oversaw investments in 8 markets. Before CyberAgent, he spent 8 years at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) where he was involved in financial businesses such as consumer and business loans, syndicated loans, and liquidation of credit receivables. Soichi is a Chairman of the Japanese Venture Capital Association (JVCA) since July 2023. He graduated from Osaka University in Engineering.
