Tak Niinami, CEO of Suntory Holdings, brings extensive experience from his early career at Mitsubishi Corporation and as the former CEO of Lawson, Inc., growing it into significant convenience store operator in Asia. Since joining Suntory in 2014, his leadership spans the global consumer products sector. Outside of Suntory, Tak has been a senior economic advisor to Japanese Prime Ministers since 2014, the longest-serving business leader in this role. He is Chairman of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives (Doyukai). Tak is also Asia Pacific Chairman of the Trilateral Commission, Chair of the Asia Business Council, and a member of the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council, the Global Board of Advisors of the Council on Foreign Relations, and The Business Council in the US. Tak received his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
