He began his career in 1991 at Japan Associated Finance Co., Ltd. (now JAFCO Group Co., Ltd.). In October 1999, he established his own venture capital firm and has since consistently focused on investing in and nurturing companies in their earliest stages. He has held several roles at the Japan Venture Capital Association (JVCA), starting as a Director in July 2013. He then served as Managing Director from July 2015, Vice Chairman from July 2017, and Chairman from July 2019. In July 2023, he was appointed Special Advisor.
