Maro came to Japan in 2020 to attend the Nagoya Institute of Technology under the Japan-Korea Joint Program for Science and Engineering Students. In high school, he won awards in Math and Science Olympiads and secured second place in a global programming competition as a representative for South Korea. During his mandatory military service in 2021, he personally experienced the significant barriers of cross-border e-commerce, which inspired the idea for his venture. While still a university student, he won the prestigious Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the Campus Venture Grand Prix (CVG) and founded SAZO Inc. in October 2023.

With a mission to achieve "Zero Distance to the World," SAZO Inc. provides an AI-powered solution for cross-border e-commerce. The platform leverages AI to automatically eliminate barriers such as language, payments, customs, and logistics, delivering a "one-click" international shopping experience that feels as seamless as buying locally. This innovative service has quickly attracted a dedicated user base, rapidly building an enthusiastic, cross-border community of fans. Looking ahead, SAZO aims to become the definitive "Global Shopping Agent," enabling anyone to buy and sell products worldwide and building the foundational infrastructure for the coming Agent-to-Agent (A2A) era.
