
Graduated from the Department of Nuclear Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University, and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. Provides consulting services primarily to the electric power and city gas industries undergoing regulatory reform, as well as to companies and related industries (such as oil/natural gas exploration and development companies, equipment manufacturers, engineering firms, financial institutions, and government agencies) planning market entry or business strengthening. Consulting focus areas include scenario planning, business strategy, international strategy, and M&A/alliance support. Additionally, offers scenario planning, business strategy, and M&A/alliance support to materials companies (petrochemicals, government agencies, and various other materials) affected by the shale revolution. Furthermore, supports consumer goods manufacturers in sectors such as food, beverages/confections, and daily necessities, as well as other B-to-C companies, with areas including brand portfolio strategy, marketing and sales strategy, organizational and structural reform, and operational transformation. Served as a member of the Cost Verification Committee (2011) and the Supply-Demand Verification Committee (2012) for the Energy and Environment Council, Cabinet Office, and as a Project Professor at Kyoto University (2014–2016 academic years). Has made numerous media contributions, including appearances on television and in newspapers, and articles in magazines, on topics related to the energy industry and other themes.
