After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at Hokkaido University, he started a welfare-related company as a venture originating from Hokkaido University while he was in his first year at the university's Graduate School of Accounting. His company became the first to receive a student loan from Hokkaido Bank. In 2016, he participated in the development of diamond semiconductors, where he was responsible for commercializing the research plan. In March 2022, he founded Okuma Diamond Devices Co., Ltd. and currently holds his position there.
