Joined Honda R&D Co., Ltd. in 2012, engaging in research and development of metallic materials for automobile bodies. In 2023, initiated new material research beyond mobility following the launch of the Materials Research Center. Leading both the research and business development projects for infrastructure applications using this technology, having passed the final review of Honda’s startup program “IGNITION.” Aiming to establish a new company within the year. Graduated from Tokyo University of Science with a degree in Applied Physics.

This business provides high-durability paving materials made from desert sand to African governments and construction contractors who face degradation issues due to budget constraints that allow only low-quality pavements. Compared to conventional crushed stone or river sand, the material offers superior availability and durability, giving it advantages in both initial and life-cycle costs. By replacing traditional materials, it reduces maintenance needs and allows the saved budget to be allocated to new road construction, thereby easing traffic congestion, lowering transportation costs, and ultimately contributing to the economic
